By visiting the South Alabama Homestead Conference website, purchasing a ticket, and/or attending the South Alabama Homestead Conference, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms outlined below. If you do not agree, please do not purchase a ticket/attend.

South Alabama Homestead Conference is not liable for any damages arising from use of the website or participation in the event, including but not limited to loss of business, profits, data, or damage to devices or systems.

Privacy & Attendee Information

• South Alabama Homestead Conference respects your privacy. We do not sell or rent attendee personal information. Information collected through ticket purchases, registrations, or communications may be used to process registrations, communicate about the conference, provide event-related information, and administer the event. Information may be shared with service providers who assist us with ticketing, payment processing, email communications, website operation, or other event-related services. Information may also be disclosed when required by law.

Ticketing & Refund Policy

• All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued unless the event is fully canceled. 

• South Alabama Homestead Conference reserves the right to cancel the event at any time. 

• However, refunds will not be given due to “acts of God,” including but not limited to weather (rain, hurricanes, flooding), pandemics, or other unforeseen circumstances.

• If you cannot attend for any reason, no refund will be issued. 

• Tickets may be transferred to another individual. 

• South Alabama Homestead Conference is not responsible for cancellations or no-shows by speakers, vendors, or scheduled activities.

• South Alabama Homestead Conference reserves the right to modify the event schedule, speakers, classes, demonstrations, activities, vendors, exhibitors, locations, and other programming when reasonably necessary. Such changes do not entitle attendees to a refund.

Limitation of Liability, Waiver, Release & Indemnification Agreement

By purchasing a ticket and/or attending South Alabama Homestead Conference, you agree to the following:

1.Acknowledgment of Risk 

Participation in South Alabama Homestead Conference activities may involve physical activity and carries inherent risks, including but not limited to serious injury, death, or property loss. Risks may arise from:

  1. Activities, demonstrations, or classes
  2. Animals, tools, equipment, or machinery
  3. Actions or inactions of organizers, staff, volunteers, vendors, speakers, exhibitors, or other attendees
  4. Weather conditions, natural terrain, and environmental hazards
  5. Lack of hydration, food, or personal preparedness
  6. Interaction with other participants or livestock

2. Livestock & Animal Activities
Certain conference activities may involve livestock, poultry, rabbits, bees, farm animals, or other animals. Animals are unpredictable and may bite, kick, scratch, peck, step on, knock over, or otherwise injure individuals. Attendees voluntarily assume the risks associated with being near, observing, handling, feeding, or interacting with animals. Attendees must follow all instructions regarding animal safety and may not enter animal areas or interact with animals without permission.

3. Minor Attendees: Children and minors must remain under the supervision of their parent or legal guardian at all times. Parents and legal guardians are responsible for determining which activities are appropriate for the minors in their care and for ensuring that minors follow all event rules and safety instructions.

4. Physical Condition: Attendees are responsible for determining whether their physical condition and abilities are appropriate for any particular activity and for communicating any limitations or accommodation needs to event staff when appropriate.

5. Accessibility & Accommodations
We strive to make South Alabama Homestead Conference accessible to all attendees. Attendees who require an accommodation should contact the conference organizers in advance of the event so that reasonable accommodations can be considered and arranged when possible.

6. Event Authority: South Alabama Homestead Conference may restrict or prohibit an attendee from participating in any activity when organizers determine that the attendee’s participation presents a safety concern or violates event rules. No refund will be provided for removal from the event.

7. Medical Consent: In the event of injury, accident, or illness, you consent to receive emergency medical treatment if deemed necessary, understanding that South Alabama Homestead Conference is not responsible for providing such care or covering any associated costs.

8. Condition of Participation: Purchase of a ticket and/or attendance at the conference constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and any applicable waiver or release.

9. Educational Content Disclaimer
Information presented at South Alabama Homestead Conference is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. Speakers, instructors, vendors, and exhibitors are responsible for their own opinions and content. Conference information should not be considered professional veterinary, medical, legal, financial, agricultural, or other professional advice. Attendees are responsible for determining whether and how to apply information presented at the conference.

10. Photography, Video, and Recording: Photography, video, and audio recording may occur throughout South Alabama Homestead Conference. By attending the event, you acknowledge that you may appear in photographs, video, or other recordings taken by or on behalf of the conference and that South Alabama Homestead Conference may use such recordings for promotional, educational, social media, website, advertising, and other lawful purposes without compensation.

11. Waiver & Release of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to waive, release, and discharge South Alabama Homestead Conference, The Patch by Lillian Cattle Company, event organizers, owners, staff, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, speakers, exhibitors, and affiliates from claims, demands, damages, or liability arising out of or related to your participation in or attendance at the event, including risks expressly identified in this agreement, except to the extent such liability cannot lawfully be waived or released

12. Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless South Alabama Homestead Conference and all associated parties from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from the attendee’s own negligent, reckless, intentional, or wrongful conduct.
